2023 - 2024 HCFG CHALLENGE 
This year's annual challenge is to create an item inspired by the place you were born or the place you grew up.   Bring your completed item to the May 3, 2024 meeting in Buena Vista. 

2022 - 2023 Challenge

This year's annual challenge is to create a project where you will spark your creativity with an Art, Music, Lyrics, Literature, or Movie Inspired Creation. Here are some ideas:
  • Are you a fan of Gone with the Wind? Do you remember the green curtains that Scarlett used to make her dress? Will you make a green dress? Will you repurpose your curtains into a quilt?
  • Are you a lover of Pride and Prejudice? Could you be inspired to knit a pair of lace gloves or a shawl in the Elizabethan Style?
  • Do Monet’s Waterlilies, with the lake, the flowers, the color blue, inspire you to create?
  • How about the lyrics of your favorite song?
  • Does Beethoven’s Pastoral inspire visions of the countryside?
  • The possibilities are endless!


The only rules - have your project finished by the May 5, 2023 HCFG Guild meeting; bring your project to show the group and tell us how you were inspired by Art, Music, Lyrics, Literature or a Movie. If possible, provide your inspirational item. ​
