Join us at our Annual Stash Sale

Saturday, June 7, 2025, 9AM-12 Noon

410 Ouray Ave. in Salida, CO
(Corner of Ouray & Grant next to the golf course)

The Heart of Colorado FiberArts Guild is a non-profit organization serving Chaffee County Colorado full and part-time residents.  It has evolved as a Guild that recognizes all fiber artists in all types of mediums.  Our membership includes: Weavers, Spinners, Seamstresses, Quilters, Knitters, Felters, Embroiderers, Crocheters, Beaders and all other forms of FiberArt.

The Mission of the Guild is to support the education of members, to encourage public awareness of the quality and creativity expressed in all forms of fiber arts and to establish a sense of community amongst the membership.  The Guild also supports community scholarships and charitable giving.

Members and their guests are welcome at the monthly Guild meetings on the first Friday of the month from September through May.  Meetings rotate between Buena Vista and Salida.  Meetings begin at 9:30 am with members sharing their finished projects in a show and tell, followed by an educational program presented by a member or other fiber artist. The Guild also offers several workshops on various fiber art techniques and mediums.

The Guild hosts an Annual Fashion Show, Luncheon and Boutique each Fall at the SteamPlant in Salida.  Members also have the opportunity to sell any unwanted fibers, books, tools or other supplies at its annual stash sale held on the first Saturday in June in Salida.

HCFG offers many opportunities for its members to become involved in the organization.  Click on the drop down menus below and check out the Committee Responsibilities and the Events Responsibilities as well as the Bylaws for the responsibilities of the Board Members.  You also don’t want to miss the Community Events with its listing of various occasions throughout the year that support the fiber arts and local artists.
