2019 WEARABLE ART FASHION SHOW ENTRIES Fashion Show Waiver, Application & Description Form
The Heart of Colorado FiberArts Guild (HCFG) 17th Annual Wearable Art Fashion Show, along with the Brunch and Boutique, will be held at The SteamPlant in Salida from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. The Coordinator of the Fashion Show and Model Preparation is Donna Childers 719-239-1834.
Your fashion show entries may include garments, scarves, vests, shawls, handbags, hats, unique jewelry, etc.
Timeline for submission of items for the Fashion Show
Friday, October 4, 2019, 9:30 – 11:00 am: Garments and completed paperwork can be delivered to Donna Childers at the October 4 Guild meeting.
Thursday, October 10, 2019, 5:00 pm: Final Deadline for receiving Fashion Show entries and paperwork. All items must be delivered to Donna Childers, 30036 Creek Run, Buena Vista by 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 10. Phone: 719-239-1834.
You must include a signed Fashion Show Waiver and the following forms. No late items will be accepted.
Be unused, in good condition, clean, pressed, odor free, and otherwise presentable.
Not have been worn previously in Fashion Show.
Not be made from a commercially produced kit. If a pattern or instruction has been used in the creation of a piece, credit must be given to designer/instructor.
Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 3:00 pm: You must pick up any unsold garments that you’ve put in the boutique by 3:00 pm. If you are unavailable for post-show pick up, you MUST make arrangements by Monday, October 14 to have someone else pick up your unsold pieces. Any unsold pieces not picked up will become the property of the Guild and will be added to the June 2020 Stash Sale.
Entries in fashion show that will be sold in the boutique:
Can be made from a pattern which specifically allows reproduction of the piece or was the subject of a class for which the instructor gave permission to use her/his design for production and sale of each piece.
Must be complete, in good condition, clean, odor free, pressed, unused and otherwise presentable.
Handcrafted fiber pieces to be sold in the boutique must contain a label that includes the following:
Fiber or material content
Care instructions for dry cleaning, washing, drying, or ironing
The fiber content must be permanently attached if garment is to be worn for warmth, such as a coat.
